Ajax Amsterdam is officially crowned champion of the Netherlands! The men of Erik ten Hag, recently extended until 2023, validated the 35th national title in the history of the Ajacides by crushing FC Emmen (4-0) this Sunday on behalf of the 31st day of Eredivise. A success acquired thanks to the achievements of Jurriën Timber (10th), Sébastien Haller (61st), Devyne Rensch (66th) and Davy Klaassen (74th) at the Johan Cruyff Arena. Ajax can no longer be caught by PSV Eindhoven (2nd) and AZ Alkmaar (3rd).
The club from the Dutch capital thus won its second league title after 2018-2019, the 2019-2020 season having been declared white due to the appearance of the Covid-19 pandemic. Ajax Amsterdam therefore achieved the double after winning the Dutch Cup on April 18 against Vitesse Arnhem (2-1).
